South African Beer and Brewery Tours are operated by Zululand Eco-Adventures who have been going for over 15 years. The South African Beer and Brewery Tour is a tour done throughout South Africa and is talor made depending on the groups thirst and needs. There are over 20 micro-breweries in South Africa that can be visited. Below is an example of a tour that has been run. These tours are exclusive and you will meet experts and visit small and large breweries accross SA.
Day 1. Arrive Fly into JHB INTL Aiport and head straight for Gilroys Brewery and Pub and meet one of the legends in the industry Steve Gilroy. Festivities all afternoon and evening.
Day 2. Visit South African Breweries World Of Beer followed by a tour of Soweto and join the locals for quart of beer at a "Shisa Nyama" informal public BBQ.
Day 3. Fly to Durban and Meander through the KZN Midlands where you will find the Nottingham Road Brewering Co.
Day 4. Head for the Valley of 1000 hills where you will find Robsons Ales at the Shongweni Brewery.
Day 5. Drive up to Eshowe to the Zululand Brewery and sample the beers at famous The Happy George Pub with live entertainment.
Day 6. Explore Rural Zululand where you will find Thothotho's Zulu Brewery.
Day 7. Fly to Cape Town and hit the Waterfront for some lunch at the Paulaner Brewery and meet Wolfgang and the umpa band followed by a tour of Boston Brewery.
Day 8. Visit Hermanus, go whale watching or Shark diving with the Great Whites followed by a visit to The Birkenhead brewery and smaple there range of beers.
Day 9. Relax
Day 10. Depart.
